The work of a certified medication technician includes, but is not limited to, administering medications to patients and keeping track of pertinent medical records while working under the direct supervision of a medical director, RN, or LPN. They confirm the patient’s identity before administering medication and record the drug’s name, dosage, and administration time on predetermined forms or records.
